Here is why our mission is in Zambia
Orchard Ministries began with a calling/ mandate to go into the world and make disciples. We LOVE training children and youth to live boldly for God. When we moved to Zambia as missionaries, our home church, Heart For The World, already had important partners in Zambia. From that starting place, Orchard Ministries was born and has grown into a powerful ministry that raises up young leaders.
Zambia remains at the heart of our mission because it’s where God opened the door for us to build community, provide daily meals, and walk with children through discipleship and leadership training. Today we are nurturing lion leaders who now inspire others both in Zambia and in the U.S.
Mission
WE exist to empower the next generation to become all they were created to be! We are on a mission to build powerful “LION” leaders that lead their peers and family today. We do this through coaching, mentorship, encouragement, and support.
Vision
We SEE thousands of young people in the nations rising up with COURAGE, running with PURPOSE, and confidently ROARING LOUD with their God-given lives!
Core Convictions
Courage. God’s people should be boldly Courageous as we extend the life-giving message of Christ to the ends of the earth.
Compassion. Though we are strong and courageous, we should be also be known for our compassion towards the hurting, the outcast, the sick, the sad, the voiceless, and the lost.
Character. Lions live by a creed. They take ownership of their lives. They endure, take risks, grow, and overcome. They lead themselves first, and stand on healthy habits, beliefs, mindsets, and daily decisions of discipline, self-control, honesty and integrity.

We love mobilizing, equipping, and releasing people to live out God’s unique mission and purpose for their lives. We embrace the challenges and adventure of life and look at everything as a learning opportunity...even hard things! We believe each person has agency a green light to write their own, unique and powerful life story. Our faith in Jesus is foundational to our coaching, and we believe we are continuing the mission that he started more than 2,000 years ago when he came to earth and invited people from all walks of life to unlock their potential and enter into the freedom and future He paid for.
