To us, trees are a picture of growth and health. We use tress as a metaphor for human lives because that is what the Bible does. We have broken up our mentorship program into 3 phases with visual picture of tree.

ROOTS. The first phase is the foundation and planting our ROOTS in faith.

RISE. Second phase is focused on personal growth and discovering how high God designed us to RISE.

REACH. Third phase is our REACH. Our fruitfulness in this life and our potential to reproduce more fruit that will impact God’s heavenly Orchard.

ROOTED IN JESUS

We believe in developing strong roots of belonging, of family, and an understanding of individual value and identity is fundamental in order to raise young men and women of character, compassion and courage. We work to create safe, fun, God-filled environments where these young people can live and grow and learn they were designed by God for a purpose.

We are also committed to helping with basic needs through food assistance, our shelter home, advocacy, and educational assistance We believe in a whole person approach to mentorship and we focus on spiritual development, as well as physical, emotional, mental, and relational development. All are so important!

RISING IN CHARACTER

Through our “Lions” mentorship programs we are growing leaders of Courage, Character, and Compassion.

REACHING OUT IN COURAGE & COMPASSION

Mango Tree Kids Gatherings are outreaches and church plants geared specifically for children under the age of 14. Our teams learn to speak the language of children; to get down on their eye level and know them, value them, and play with them. We share faith messages filled with fun and full of silly activities that reinforce foundational Scriptural messages. Our Mango Kids are learning to pray, to share, to memorize scripture, and to be bold in their faith!

Fire Teams are small mission ministry teams that Orchard sends out for ministry in locations beyond our Province. These teams are serving communities, training and equip rural bush church leaders, and assisting the poor in practical ways. Former US Navy SEAL, Commander Rorke Denver says, “You change the momentum in a country by changing the momentum on the battlefield.”  We believe this is true and we believe that there is a spiritual battle raging, especially in the rural communities and villages of Zambia, where many of our partners live and work.  So, we are training Gospel warriors to change battlefield momentum! In 2021, Orchard Fire Teams will venture to distant locations such as Kazembe, Kawambwa, Chitondo, Kapiri-Mposhi, and Mongu.

ROOTED in the love of Jesus, so we can RISE and REACH others
