Add Life To Your Days
Running is more than a daily discipline for me—it’s when I quiet down long enough to hear from God and connect with Him. It also connects me to others. Running has become a big part of my life and our ministry. In Zambia, our Young Lions, Junior Lions, Lady Lions, and Little Lions run together four days a week, rain or shine. In just a few weeks, I’ll be back with them on the Chifubu Loop, Mitengo Loop, and around Mwanawasa Stadium. I can’t wait!
Last week, Orchard released our second book this year, Roaring Runner Revelations: a 21-day devotional guide, packed with inspiring stories, fun challenges, and plenty of motivation to get you moving. Over 20 students from our U.S. youth group have already taken on the challenge of running or walking 1 to 2.1 miles a day for 21 days. They’re sharing their progress in a lively group chat, and our Zambia team is running alongside them from across the world. Young people, worlds apart, growing together each day—that’s pretty special.
I’d love for you to join in, too! Grab a copy, take the challenge with family or friends, and weave it into your daily rhythm. Share with us what you’re hearing, learning, and experiencing along the way.
We’re also thrilled to announce our 2nd Annual Roar Run at the beautiful Picacho Hills Country Club in Las Cruces, NM, on Saturday, November 1, 2025. This year’s event features a 1-Mile Family Fun Run/Walk, a 5K, and for the first time a 10K distance! Last year, 120 participants rose, ran, and roared together, with every dollar going toward the purchase of our Roar Campus in Ndola, Zambia. This year, we’re aiming even higher and planning to build out this special place for our runners and our upside down church! And…when else do you get to run the cart paths of a breathtaking golf course? If you’re in the area, come run with us—it’s a beautiful course and a run with a powerful purpose. I love what amateur runner Ronald Rook once said:
“I don’t run to add days to my life. I run to add life to my days.”
That’s exactly what running does for me. And running alongside people you love, and with young leaders around the world who are becoming lions, adds even more.
Let’s go, Lions — Rise. Run. Roar!
