Roar Run 3

Exactly three months from today, on Saturday, October 31, we will gather in Las Cruces, New Mexico, for our 3rd Annual ROAR RUN.  These super-fun events have grown every year, and we have great expectations for this year’s event…we’re expecting 400 people!  Woohoo! 

This race is an opportunity to come together, do something good, and something hard, with a tough community of others, bright and early in the morning, that will make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people across the globe!  

Psalm 133:1 says that it is good and pleasant when God’s people live together in unity, and nothing unites us like a shared adventure with a powerful purpose! 

Your participation will help us expand our Young Lions Running Team in Ndola, Zambia.  Running has always been an incredible tool for mentorship and discipleship for our young people. As they train together, our Young Lions are learning discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. Our runners are also beginning to turn heads in regional competitions, racing distances from 5Ks all the way up to full marathons!

At Orchard’s Roar Church in Chifubu, hundreds of kids each week are encountering the love of Jesus and wild family joy!  they are Rising together, beyond sadness, difficulties, and poverty.  They’re Running together, belonging to a team and believing new realities are possible, and new challenges can be overcome; and they’re Roaring with lives of vibrant faith, courage, compassion, and character!  Your ROAR RUN registration helps give these young athletes opportunities to become lions!

So, this October, we invite you to run with us. We offer a challenging 10K run, a beautiful 5K run, and you can either walk or run our Family Fun Mile too. Every registrant receives a commemorative Roar Run T-shirt and a delicious breakfast burrito.  5K and 10K runners will receive race medals, and top age groups finishers compete for unique prizes!  We will also hold our first ever costume contest since we will be running on Halloween!
